About Artist
WHO ARE YOU KNOWN AS, AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO ART?
My name is, Susanna. I got into art pretty much as soon as I started school just loved the way the colours popped and the creativity of it all. And of course by my dad, he’s always been on the creative side drawing all kinds of things when I was little. A lot of tattoos inspire me as well Although it has been a while since I’ve drawn but when I feel creative i always like to sketch down ideas. My favourite thing about drawing is just how your mind goes into this whole other world and it’s just so peaceful.
ARE THERE ANY MATERIALS THAT YOU USE REGULARLY FOR YOUR ART OR ARE ‘MUST HAVES?’
Most of the materials I use is just a pen/pencil and a blank sheet of paper. Some ‘must haves’ for me is the boldness of fine point markers. When I can get a chance I love using them.
WHAT DOES YOUR ART DO FOR YOU?
My art I would say in a way calms me. It’s delicate, peaceful and just motivates me into practicing that much harder.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FEARS OR WORRIES ABOUT THE ART COMMUNITY AND BEING A PART OF IT?
What worries me most is all the criticism that’s out there. I’m not saying I’m any good I’m sure with more practice and getting back into it I’m sure I will make good progress but otherwise I’m pretty happy with what I do.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST? (IN ANY MEDIUM)
Honestly I don’t have a lot of favorites. I follow artists on my social media accounts that do inspire me to draw. I also gotta give credit to the man who tattooed a beautiful piece on my arm his name is Aaron Beam from sideshow in Georgetown.
Thank you very much Susanna it was a pleasure discussing your art with you! We hope to see you grow and continue to inspire people.
